Racist ableism towards women in the workplace
Ingrid Palmer engaged with a new term that is being used particularly in brown and Black disabled communities: ‘racist ableism’. She made an amateur documentary centering Black disabled women and their experiences of ableism, racism and sexism in the workplace and collected ‘Dear disabled Black women’-statements from them. Through the statements the women shared their unique intersectional perspectives and expertise.
